Mission Statement
The mission of Farnsworth Aerospace Elementary School is to provide
challenging academics that will prepare the next generation of
explorers. Our school community will inspire students and their
families to examine, understand and protect our planet and beyond.
Learning Opportunity
Farnsworth Aerospace Elementary Magnet School assures successful
learning through a personalized curriculum designed for students at
different stages of development. Students engage in
confidence-building experiences and extended classroom activities in a
welcoming school environment. The school works to meet the needs
of each student while clearly identifying what the student is expected
to learn. The school also includes a dynamic, hands-on,
investigative science curriculum with a science fair in grades
4-6. In addition, technology | | 5th graders participate in Video Conferencing with NASA Glenn | helps students enhance basic skills
and develop higher-order thinking skills.
In 2008-09, Farnsworth expanded it's magnet focus to Cleveland Jr. High School. The two campuses formed and were named Aerospace at Farnsworth and Aerospace at Cleveland. The traditions at Farnsworth continues on at Cleveland as Dr. Vincent leads both schools.
Farnsworth is a member of the Project for Academic Excellence of the
Saint Paul School District, where teachers and students focus heavily
on writing, reading, math, and science through clear expectations,
standards, and academic rigor.
Farnsworth seeks active involvement and partnerships with parents and
community members. We seek to incorporate the following key
elements into our school: communicating, volunteering, learning at
home, decision making, and collaborating with the community.
Listed are several options available at Farnsworth Aerospace School.
