Kindergarten Program at Farnsworth

Our Kindergarten classrooms implement a strong standards based curriculum including: *Reader's Workshop *Writer's Workshop *Everyday Math *Social Studies *Developmentally Appropriate Science Activities Our learning environment includes: *Weekly parent newsletter *A close approximation of classrooms *Easy access to the playground *A safe neighborhood Aerospace and Aviation Aerospace and aviation themes are integrated into the kindergarten curriculum. We will explore: transportation, astronomy, occupations and biography topics. Support Services Additional instruction is provided by the following specialists: Spanish, Physical Education, Literary Art, and Science. *Library-each week, students go to the library to listen to stories and check out books. *eMac computer lab-students learn application basic computer skills to complement what is taught in the classroom. *Book Buddies with upper grade students. *Field trips
